Tag and Release a Monarch butterfly for the journey to Mexico. Learn how Monarchs are tagged, registered, & released to study & protect their migration routes.

If tagging a butterfly, you will receive a certificate with codes and information on Monarch Watch to track your butterfly. All butterflies will be released at the end of the event.

12:30pm-1:00pm Tagging, 1:00pm-1:30pm Seminar on Monarch migration, 1:45pm Release time may vary by 15 minutes for all Monarchs to be tagged.  It is free to attend. Cost $8 to tag and release a butterfly. We have a limited number of butterflies & tags available on a first come first serve basis. Must pay for tags in advance to hold spot.
